Every school that is part of the Massachusetts state university system will require students to be vaccinated against COVID-19 before they attend in-person classes next fall.

MATT?MATT: AND WE’RE NOT JUST TALKINGABOUT THE CAMPUS HERE IN THEHUB.THIS RULE WILL BE SYSTEM-WIDE.STUDENTS AT U-MASS BOSTON ANDTHE 9 SCHOOLS IN THE STATEUNIVERSITY SYSTEM WILL BEREQUIRED TO BE VACCINATED FORCOVID-19 BEFORE THEY RETURN INTHE FALL.THAT INCLUDES ALL THE STATESCHOOLS, LIKE BRIDGEWATER, SALEMAND WORCESTER, ALONG WITH THEMASSACHUSETTS COLLEGE OF ART ANDDESIGN, THE COLLEGE OF LIBERALARTS AND THE MASS MARITIMEACADEMY.EVERYONE PLANNING THE LIVE,STUDY OR CONDUCT RESEARCH ONTHOSE CAMPUS WILL NEED TO GETTHEIR SHOTS.THERE WILL BE EXCEPTIONS,INCLUDING FOR MEDICAL ANDRELIGIOUS REASONS.THE STATEMENT ADDED THAT THEYEXPECT THAT ALL EMPLOYEES WILLBE FULLY-VACCINATED BEFORE THESTART OF THE FALL SEMESTER.UMASS AMHERST MADE A SIMILARANNOUNCEMENT LAST
