Hamas has rejected the final round of negotiations mediated by the U.S., Qatar, and Egypt for a ceasefire and hostage deal, heightening tensions in the Gaza conflict. The rejection undermines efforts by the Biden administration to broker peace. Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader in Gaza, might be planning further resistance or leveraging the situation for better terms, possibly anticipating or coordinating with broader regional actions involving Iran or Hezbollah. This move adds uncertainty to an already volatile situation

The US, Qatar, and Egypt urge renewed truce negotiations, offering to mediate. Israel agrees to send a delegation to talks in Doha or Cairo, signaling potential progress in de-escalating regional tensions.
