People rush to liquor stores in Odisha ahead of weekend curfew
People in Bhubaneswar rushed to buy alcohol in view of the weekend curfew imposed in Odisha amid rising cases of coronavirus.
The weekend curfew was started last week from April 24.
People were seen queuing up outside a liquor store in the state capital on April 30 to stock up on the alcohol.
Odisha reported 8,681 new infections on April 30, taking the active caseload to 56,684.
While the death toll has increased to 2096 after 14 more people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours.
