'Stand by what I did': Tripura DM who forcefully stopped wedding ceremony

West Tripura District Magistrate Shailesh Kumar Yadav endorsed his own 'misconduct' where he was seen stopping a wedding ceremony forcefully.

Speaking to ANI, he said that he stand by his action as he has to enforce orders to mitigate spread of COVID infections.

"I stand by whatever I did.

It's my duty to enforce orders for preventing the spread of COVID.

I have submitted my statement before the high-level inquiry committee," said West Tripura DM.
