Covid crisis: Delhi govt to provide free ration; financial aid to auto, taxi drivers

Delhi govt to give free ration and extend financial help to those hit by Covid lockdown.

CM Kejriwal said govt will give free ration for two months to all ration card holders.

Kejriwal said govt will extend financial help of Rs 5,000 to auto-rickshaw & taxi drivers.

“Delhi govt will give free ration for two months to 72 lakh ration card holders.

This does not mean that the lockdown will continue for two months.

Decision has been taken to help those going through financial crisis.

Govt will extend financial help of Rs 5,000 to auto-rickshaw & taxi drivers.

Last year too, we had helped more than 1.5 lakh such drivers in Delhi,” he said.

Delhi is under lockdown till May 10 due to a steep surge in number of Covid cases.
