An animal rescuer climbed 20 foot up netting at a construction site in Pune, western India, to free a trapped snake.

The footage from May 4 shows Saidas Kusal scale the netting where a non-venomous rat snake had become entangled.

Kusal managed to restrain the 4-foot-long snake before using a small blade to cut away the plastic wires.

The rescued then released the snake into the wild.

He said: "The height and the terrain made it a difficult rescue.

It took hours to complete the job.”
