Cyclone Yaas predicted to form over Bay of Bengal | Intensity less than Cyclone Tauktae

After Cyclone Tauktae, an early indication of another system being formed over the Bay of Bengal is being observed.

A low-pressure area is apparently over the Bay of Bengal, which is likely to hit India’s eastern coast around May 27.

If the cyclone is formed, it would be called ‘Yaas’, a name recommended by Oman.

It’s still in the ‘low-pressure area formation’.

Indian Meteorological Department is waiting for its further development before making a formal announcement.
