A crop-raiding elephant was rescued after falling into a muddy well in Kerala, southern India.
A crop-raiding elephant was rescued after falling into a muddy well in Kerala, southern India.
Officials in Ernakulam used an excavator to dig a path enabling the elephant to climb out from the muddy pit on June 16.
The 17-year-old elephant managed to escape the well and was released back into the wild.
