City Of Modesto Forced To Freeze Nearly 24 Jobs
The city of Modesto is being forced to freeze nearly two dozen emergency responder positions to balance its budget.
The council is expected to approve the $87 million budget during the meeting tonight.
With revenues falling short, vacant jobs, including two fire department and 10 in the police department.
The city's interim fire chief says because the positions are currently vacant, the public will not see reduction in services.
