Crews Battle Newly-Merged Dixie, Fly Fires Near Lake Almanor
The explosive Dixie and Fly fires burning in Butte and Plumas counties have merged, making up an estimated 191,000 acres combined and forcing evacuations.
The air conditions have improved after smoke from the Dixie and Tamarack fires drifted into the Sacramento area, making for unhealthy to very unhealthy conditions.
