In a December legislative hearing, Louisiana State Health Officer Dr Joseph Kanter testified that his office would not add an unlicensed drug to the required list for school attendance.
Ten days later, OPH approved the request from 86 schools in the city of New Orleans to add the unlicensed, non-FDA approved drugs to the list of required vaccines for children as young as five.
