A report published by Moody's on International Women's day says women in the United States have especially felt the struggles of the coronavirus pandemic.

The report says many women were forced out of work in part due to inefficient or non-existent policies such as paid leave and child-care subsidies.

In 2021 in the United States, 11.4% more males between 25 and 54 years old were participating in the labor market.

In comparison, the divide between men and women in the United Kingdom is 6.6%.

In Sweden, the gender divide is closer to 4%.
