A stabbing spree at a Walmart in Shanghai killed three and injured 15, with suspect Lin arrested at the scene. Motivated by an economic dispute, Lin attacked shoppers in the densely populated Songjiang district. Eyewitnesses described panic as SWAT teams responded. Knife attacks in China have risen recently, with several high-profile cases across the country. The Walmart reopened with heightened security, while discussions of the attack have been censored online.
