This was the 35th and final Clash of the Champions under the WCW banner.

It also happened right after Road Wild and shortly before Fall Brawl.

The nWo celebrated their 1-year "birthday" on this show (without Hollywood Hogan, by the way) while Sting was still on the hunt for the perfect opponent.

It seems as though JJ Dillon may have finally got the hint, though, and granted him a Starrcade match against Hogan.

Macho Man fills in for Kevin Nash as Scott Hall's tag-team partner to defend the Tag Titles against Lex Luger and DDP, Curt Hennig refuses to answer whether or not he's joining the Four Horsemen, the Cruiserweight and TV Titles are on the line, and much more!
