Over 20,000 protesters marched through the streets of Berlin demanding effective climate protection, according to local sources.

The protest was part of the 'global climate strike’, called by the ‘Fridays For Future’ youth movement.

Similar protests highlighting climate change were planned in more than 250 German cities as well as in many capitals throughout the world.
