Canada: Conservative MPs discuss Gymnastics Canada’s handling of misconduct allegations – November 22, 2022

At a news conference in Ottawa, Karen Vecchio (Conservative critic for women and gender equality and youth) and Dominique Vien (Conservative critic for women and gender equality and youth discuss Gymnastics Canada’s handling of allegations of sexual misconduct.

They are joined by Kim Shore and Amelia Cline, co-founders of Gymnasts for Change Canada, an organization dedicated to eradicating child abuse in the sport.

They are calling on the federal government to initiate a national judicial inquiry into the issue in order to develop solutions that will create meaningful change in gymnastics across the country.
