After the US announced provisions for Taiwan in its defense spending bill which was passed on Sunday, China showed its retaliation by sending 71 warplanes and 7 ships toward the island nation.
At the Paris Olympics, two boxers, Imane Khelif from Algeria and Lin Yu-ting from Taiwan, have advanced to gold medal matches in their respective weight categories at the Paris Olympics. These athletes have been at the center of controversy due to questions about their eligibility to compete in women's events. The IBA had found XY chromosomes in their DNA last year. Despite this the athletes have reached Finals of Paris Olympics.
