HCNN- Guardian Angel Caught On Hospital Security Camera Saves A Young Girl's Life
Chelsea Alease "Angel Girl" Banton, 21, of Charlotte North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center.
A native of Mecklenburg County, she is the daughter of Phillip Lee Banton of Concord, NC and Colleen Kay Lands Banton of Charlotte, NC.
She was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene and was also a student at Butler High School.
She loved everybody, her school, her church and the Carolina Panthers.
She enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics and bore the torch in the 2015 Relay Run.
She also loved trips to the ocean.
Chelsea was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles Wesley and Phyllis Banton.
In addition to her parents, Chelsea is survived by a sister, Kaylee Banton of Charlotte; by maternal grandparents, Edward and Alease Lands of Charlotte; uncles, Chuck and Gerri Banton of Virginia, Mike and Bev Lands of Georgia, and Bill Lands of Charlotte; by an aunt, Carol Lands of Charlotte; a number of cousins; a special caregiver, Caroline, and numerous other caregivers.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the loving care extended by the NICU, PICU, and ICU at Presbyterian Main.
Chelsea was truly a divine angel in this life and touched so very many with her incredible story.
May her soul now rest in peace, love, joy and happiness with our eternal Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.
