Staten Island Ferry is FREE
Staten Island Ferry is FREE
Travel Detectives Mike Skvarla & Brian Fuller investigate claims of some websites selling discount tickets for the Staten Island Ferry for up-to $25!
This is a scam and we investigated ourselves in person.
There was no one to take any tickets of any kind.
Do not fall for travel scams!
Other investigations included how well you can see the Statue of Liberty from the ferry.
Not very well is the answer but you can see it from a bit of a distance.
If you want to get to the Statue of Island up close you need to get on a ferry on the New Jersey side and those cost money and because of that scammers can trick people into thinking they need to pay for the Staten Island Ferry which doesn't stop at Liberty Island but continues on to Staten Island at one end and Manhattan Island at the other.
Say Tuned to future episodes of the travel detectives investigating the dos and don't of travel in New York and L.A.
And great deals on lodging, tours and price gougers to avoid.
Along the way there will be laughs and fun as we aim to inform travelers on a budget.
