In August 2005, Mahendra Singh Dhoni produced one of the greatest innings in ODI cricket, scoring an unbeaten 183 off 145 balls against Sri Lanka in the 3rd ODI of the series.
The Indian team was chasing a mammoth total of 299 and the wicketkeeper batsman took the responsibility of taking his team home.
He scored a total of 12 fours and 10 sixes to help his team reach the target with 8 wickets in hand.
This knock of his was a testament to his amazing batting abilities and made him an instant star in the cricketing world.
This innings will go down as one of his best in international cricket.
