Astronomers stumble upon a massive black hole with mass 30 billion times that of sun | Oneindia News
A group of astronomers have discovered the largest black hole known to mankind, using some really unconventional methods.
They have found this supermassive black hole using bent light and gravity.
Astronomers have identified that this massive colossal black hole, which possesses a mass equivalent to 30 billion suns, is at the centre of a galaxy that is situated millions of light-years away from our planet.
Referred to as an ultramassive black hole, it distinguishes itself from the typical supermassive black holes found in galaxies, which typically range in mass from a few million to a few billion solar masses.
Although possessing an immense mass, this supermassive black hole displays minimal activity, indicating a relatively low intake of matter and a subsequent absence of intense X-ray radiation.
This mammoth black hole has been detected by accident.
The team of astronomers, led by James Nightingale, an astrophysicist at Durham University in the UK, were actually studying a galaxy that is positioned even farther from Earth than the one housing the enormous black hole.
A new NCRI survey reveals disturbing levels of support for political violence in the U.S., with 55% of left-leaning Americans saying Trumpâs assassination could be justified. Elon Musk isnât far behind, as nearly half express similar sentiments toward him. Over 57% even support attacking Tesla dealerships. NCRI warns of a rising âassassination cultureâ fueled by far-left ideology. Meanwhile, support grows online for Luigi Mangione, a Murder suspect now seen by some as a vigilante folk hero.
