The European Space Agency (ESA) launches its Euclid spacecraft, carried by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The mission will focus on researching dark matter and dark energy, which the US agency says are 'two of the biggest modern mysteries about the universe'
