French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday posted a video message wrapping Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recently-concluded visit to France.
Macron's two-minute long video was shared with a message reading “To the people of India, trust and friendship.” This comes as the Indian Prime Minister wrapped up his two-day visit to France where he attended a private dinner hosted by Macron and also attended one of Europe’s largest parades, the Bastille Day Parade.
The Ukrainian military faces a significant challenge as dozens of soldiers from the elite 'Anne of Kiev' Brigade, trained in France, have reportedly deserted. The flagship unit, inspected by French President Emmanuel Macron, was meant to symbolize Ukraine’s military strength amid the ongoing conflict with Russia.
Reports indicate that many of the soldiers lacked combat experience, and internal issues within the brigade have led to the dismissal of senior commanders. Ukrainian military officials have acknowledged personnel problems but downplayed the scale of the desertions.
