Anju, the Indian mother of two children travelled to a remote village in Pakistan and married her Facebook friend.
Reports have emerged that she has now converted to Islam and renamed herself Fatima.
As per reports, 34-year-old Anju was staying at her 29-year-old Pakistani friend Nasrullah's home in the Upper Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where they became friends on Facebook in 2019.
Amid tight security, both Fatima and Nasrullah tied the knot in a local court of a district and sessions judge.
A senior officer at Moharrar City Police Station in Upper Dir district named Muhammad Wahab said that Nasrullah and Anju's marriage was solemnised.

A Moroccan asylum seeker has been sentenced to life in jail for murder, with a minimum term of 45 years, at Teesside Crown Court. Severe rainfall in Pakistan has led to devastating consequences, as reported by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the northwest bore the brunt of the devastation, recording 36 fatalities and 53 injuries, while the eastern Punjab province also witnessed significant loss, with 25 deaths and eight injuries reported.
