Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised unprecedented growth of the country during his third term in power.
On Wednesday, the Indian premier sent out a message of development and growth at the inauguration of Delhi's revamped Pragati Maidan.
He said that the economic growth will keep pace with the country's aspirations.
The International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre, now renamed 'Bharat Mandapam', also became the site of a political pitch ahead of next year's general election as PM Modi compared the growth of the last nine years with the cumulative growth of six decades since Independence.
There was a dig at the opposition too.
Clubbing together his political rivals, PM Modi said that while centres like the Bharat Mandapam enhance a country's profile, there have been negative-minded people who attempted to stop it.
Prime Minister Modi is reportedly planning to visit Ukraine in August, potentially meeting President Zelenskyy in Kyiv. This visit, following Modi's recent trip to Russia, highlights India's balanced foreign policy approach. Ukraine views India as a potential mediator in the ongoing conflict. The visit, if materialized, could strengthen India's diplomatic role and provide an opportunity for direct discussions on peace efforts, while also exploring enhanced bilateral economic cooperation.
