Pilot whales form heart shape before mass stranding in Australia

A pod of pilot whales appear to form a heart shape in the waters off Cheynes Beach in Western Australia before dying after stranding themselves on the sand, despite a desperate rescue operation.

All 97 of the long-finned pilot whales either died after stranding or had to be euthanised.
