New Covid variant BA.2.86 causing concern among scientists detected in London | Oneindia News
A new Covid variant that is causing concern among scientists due to its large number of mutations has been detected in London.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has turned its vigilant eye to the BA.2.86 covid variant which has been detected through genetic sequencing, although only a handful of such sequences have so far been reported.
A man has appeared in court charged with two counts of murder after the discovery of human remains in suitcases in Bristol, and, at a flat in west London. 34-year-old Yostin Andres Mosquera appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court earlier today. Police have named the two victims as 62-year-old Albert Alfonso and 71 year old Paul Longworth who lived together at a flat in Shepherds Bush. The suspect had been staying with them.
