India Is the 1st Country , to Land on the South Pole of the Moon.

India made history on Aug.

.

India's Chandrayaan-3 space lander reached the moon's surface at about 8:34 a.m.

The country's successful landing comes just days after Russia failed a similar mission, crashing its lander, Luna-25, into the moon.

.

The south pole of the moon has intrigued space agencies and scientists for years because its craters are thought to contain more water than other areas on the lunar surface.

Chandrayaan-3 also contains a small rover which will conduct various experiments such as the testing of "mineral composition and seismic activity," NBC News reports.

This was India's second attempt to land on the lunar south pole.

Its previous lander, Chandrayaan-2, met the same fate as Russia's Luna-25.

NASA's Artemis III mission is scheduled to land on the moon's south pole in 2025, NBC News reports.

.

Only three other countries have ever completed "soft" lunar landings.

They are China, the former Soviet Union and the U.S

The space rock will make its closest approach past Earth early on June 29, passing at just three-quarters of the distance between the Earth and the Moon. The asteroid, which was first spotted two weeks ago by an observatory in South Africa, is estimated to be about 393 feet to 853 feet wide. According to asteroid expert Davide Farnocchia, who works for NASA's Center for Near-Earth Object Studies, asteroids the size of 2024 MK only pass by about every 25 years. We’re going to see a few of those during our lifetimes, but it’s not something that happens every other day, Davide Farnocchia, NASA Center for Near-Earth Object Studies, via ABC. On June 27, a 7,579-foot asteroid just passed the Earth at a slightly greater distance and was only visible with professional telescopes. The upcoming 2024 MK will be visible with a small telescope but will not be visible to the naked eye. . ABC reports that skywatchers in the Southern Hemisphere will have the best odds of spotting the asteroid. The next major asteroid is set for April 13, 2029, when Apophis will pass Earth and be visible with the naked eye to viewers in Europe, Africa and Asia.

Russia's Su-57 'Felon': The Stealth Fighter Jet Redefining Aerial Warfare and Dominating Skies

The Su-57 'Felon' is arguably the only fighter jet developed by the Russian Federation. For the 34 years of its existence (since the collapse of the USSR), the Russian Federation has struggled to create all-new fighter jets. For decades, Russia has been able to upgrade and rebrand old Soviet platforms continuously—largely slapping upgrades and bigger designation numbers on its inherited Soviet models. But how much longer can this continue? Su-57 is a fifth-generation Russian multi-functional fighter jet designed to destroy all kinds of air, surface, and surface targets. #Su57 #Felon #RussianFighterJet #StealthTechnology #AerialWarfare #MilitaryInnovation #FifthGenerationFighter #AirSuperiority #ModernWarfare #CuttingEdgeTech #Aviation #Defense #RadarEvasion #CombatAircraft #NextGenFighter
