Enthusiasts gather in Loch Ness for the biggest Nessie search in 50 years
The biggest search for the Loch Ness Monster in five decades took place over the weekend in the Scottish Highlands as researchers and monster hunters from across the globe met to track down the elusive Nessie.
The search did not yield any sign of the legendary monster but Alan McKenna, a member of the search team, said the search parties had returned to an area where they heard some “fantastic, bizarre sounds”.
Christie McLeod travelled all the way from Canada to participate in the hunt for the beast that has captivated people’s imaginations for decades: “I have been hunting Nessie for nine years.
This will be my seventh tour on the Loch.
My first official hunt.”
