Amid a diplomatic row between India-Canada, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal urged the Centre to solve the issues at the top level as ‘panic is increasing among Indians and Sikhs living in Canada’.
Notably, the Indian Mission in Canada on Thursday suspended visa services till further notice citing operational reasons, according to BLS International.
On Wednesday, Indian nationals, students in Canada and those planning on travelling to the country were advised to exercise caution.

In a shocking incident caught on camera, former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal narrowly escaped an assassination attempt at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. The gunman, identified as Khalistani leader Narain Singh Chaura, fired at Badal despite his Z-plus security cover. The bullet missed, and Chaura was overpowered and arrested on the spot.
