Travis King Is in American Custody , After Being Detained in North Korea.

U.S. Army Private Travis King crossed the military demarcation line between South Korea and North Korea in July.

Prior to entering North Korea, King was charged with assault in South Korea and was scheduled to return to Texas' Fort Bliss to be removed from the Army.

.

On Sept.

27, King was released to U.S. custody in China, Fox News reports.

The relevant organ of the DPRK decided to expel Travis King, a soldier of the U.S. Army who illegally intruded into the territory of the DPRK, under the law of the Republic, Via state media outlet Korean Central News Agency.

North Korea also said that King “confessed that he illegally intruded into the territory of the DPRK as he harbored ill feeling against inhuman maltreatment and racial discrimination within the U.S. Army and was disillusioned about the unequal U.S. society.”.

The National Security Council (NSC) confirmed that King has been returned.

.

[The NSC] are very pleased to announce this morning — although events are still ongoing — that the U.S. government has successfully facilitated Private Travis King's departure from the DPRK, NSC Senior Director for East Asia and Oceania Mira Cooper, via statement.

His transfer culminates a months-long effort involving multiple U.S. government agencies undertaken out of concern for Private King's well-being and a desire to reunite him with his family, NSC Senior Director for East Asia and Oceania Mira Cooper, via statement.

King is said to be in good health, Fox News reports.

North Korea Fires Missile During Blinken's Visit to South Korea – Provocation Amid Political Turmoil

North Korea has conducted a ballistic missile test coinciding with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to South Korea for high-level diplomatic talks. The missile, believed to be an intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM), traveled over 1,100 kilometers before landing in the sea. South Korea's military condemned the act as a "clear provocation," while the timing raises questions about Pyongyang's intent to influence the summit discussions. As tensions rise, South Korea, the U.S., and Japan are coordinating their response. Biden's Big Challenge to Putin: White House Admits Allowing Ukraine Hitting Deep Inside Russia

The White House has officially confirmed a policy shift, allowing Ukraine to strike targets within Russia using U.S.-supplied Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS). National Security Council spokesman John Kirby stated that Ukraine now has the green light to deploy these weapons for immediate defensive needs, particularly in areas like Russia's Kursk region. This move follows heightened speculation over the past week, during which Kyiv reportedly used ATACMS in strikes on Russia’s Bryansk region. The U.S. and NATO allies have continuously supplied advanced weaponry to Ukraine since 2022 while asserting that this support does not make them direct participants in the conflict. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly warned of severe repercussions, including nuclear escalation, if NATO’s involvement crosses certain thresholds. In September, Putin emphasized that Kyiv's use of long-range weapons could alter the nature of the war, effectively drawing NATO into direct confrontation. #WhiteHouse #UkraineConflict #RussiaUkraineWar #ATACMS #NATO #MilitaryAid #Geopolitics #Putin #KyivStrikes #USPolicy ~PR.362~HT.318~ED.101~GR.122~
