Their separation comes nearly 20 years after they married in 1997.

In her upcoming memoir, 'Worthy,' Pinkett Smith shared more details about the couple's relationship, including how it began and where it currently stands.

According to Pinkett Smith, their relationship status was kept secret because they were , "Still trying to figure out between the two of us how to be in partnership ... In regards to, how do we present that to people?
