Captain Tom’s family appeal decision against home spa pool
The daughter of the late Captain Sir Tom Moore has attended an appeal hearing against the demolition of a spa pool block at her home, as a representative said the facility could be used for rehabilitation sessions for the elderly.
Hannah Ingram-Moore and her husband Colin applied in 2021 for permission to build a Captain Tom Foundation Building in the grounds of their home in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire.
The L-shaped building was given the green light, but the planning authority refused a subsequent retrospective application in 2022 for a larger C-shaped building containing a spa pool.

A man has appeared in court charged with two counts of murder after the discovery of human remains in suitcases in Bristol, and, at a flat in west London. 34-year-old Yostin Andres Mosquera appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court earlier today. Police have named the two victims as 62-year-old Albert Alfonso and 71 year old Paul Longworth who lived together at a flat in Shepherds Bush. The suspect had been staying with them.
