Israel-Gaza War: Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt closed due to security, says U.S | Oneindia
The U.S State Department on Wednesday informed that the Rafah Border Crossing between Gaza and Egypt was closed because of a security circumstance.
The United States expects the Egypt-controlled crossing will be reopened at "regular intervals" so that aid can enter the Gaza Strip and foreign nationals can continue to depart, Vedant Patel, US State Department deputy spokesperson, said.
Egypt and Jordan have strongly criticized Israel for its recent strike targeting Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif in Gaza.
