Picasso Painting Sold for Staggering $139 Million at Auction
In New York, “Femme a la montre”, a 1932 painting by world renowned painter Pablo Picasso went up for auction at Sotheby’s and after an intense bidding war was sold at $139 million, making it the most valuable work of art sold globally at an auction in 2023.
The outstanding piece was part of a $400 million collection belonging to the late philanthropist Emily Fisher Landau.
