Marvel Studios is taking stock of their strategy following the poor performance of 'The Marvels'.
Over the weekend, 'The Marvels' debuted to $46.1 million in North America, marking the worst opening in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and causing a moment of reckoning for Marvel Studios.
The first teaser trailer for 'Captain America: Brave New World' starring Anthony Mackie is here! Harrison Ford makes his Marvel debut in the film as General Ross, the role previously played in the MCU by the late William Hurt. The Marvel Studios film is described as a grounded political thriller that hearkens back to the 2014 feature 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier.' 'Captain America: Brave New World' is set for a February 2025 release.

'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara and Jenna Ortega will kick off this year's Venice International Film Festival. This will mark the world premiere for Tim Burton's hotly-anticipated sequel to his 1988 comedy-horror hit. The film will premiere in Venice on August 28th, screening out of competition. The Warner Bros. release hits the big screen in North America on September 6th and internationally beginning September 4th.

Cyndi Lauper , Announces Farewell Tour.
The 70-year-old singer has announced the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour," CNN reports.
Lauper will play in 23 North American cities.
The tour kicks off on Oct. 18 in Montreal.
It will end on Dec. 5 in Chicago.
Pre-sale tickets will be available on June 4.
General sale tickets will be available on June 7.
Lauper is scheduled to talk about her upcoming
tour on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on June 5.
Meanwhile, a documentary about Lauper
will debut on Paramount+ on June 4.
It is titled, 'Let the Canary Sing'
and is directed by Alison Ellwood.
According to a press release, 'Let the Canary Sing' , "chronicles Lauper’s meteoric ascent to stardom
and her profound impact on generations through
her music, ever-evolving punk style, unwavering
feminism and tireless advocacy.".
The documentary takes the
audience on an engaging
exploration of a renowned and

Scarlett Johansson is opening up about leading the next 'Jurassic World' installment saying she's been trying to get into the franchise for over 10 years. In an interview with Comicbook.com, Johansson said that the opportunity to join 'Jurassic World' was enough for her to jump back into another big Hollywood franchise, after her long tenure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel is eyeing Shawn Levy to direct the next 'Avengers' film. Marvel is resurrecting Vision once again for his own TV series. The character will be at the center of the studio's first new series order in some time. The untitled show is currently on track for a 2026 premiere on Disney+. Terry Matalas of 'Star Trek: Picard' is set to be the showrunner. A writer's room for the series opened this week. Paul Bettany will reprise his role as Vision, which spans three Marvel films and the Disney+ series 'WandaVision.' (As well as the voice work he did on the three 'Iron Man' movies.)
