Derek Chauvin, ex-officer who killed George Floyd, stabbed in prison

Minneapolis former police officer Derek Chauvin, convicted of murdering George Floyd, was reportedly stabbed in an Arizona federal prison.

He was seriously injured after he was attacked by another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution, Tucson, around 12:30 local time on Friday.

The Bureau of Prisons said “life-saving measures” were performed on an unnamed inmate before they were taken to hospital.

Chauvin is reported to have survived the attack.
