Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has agreed to testify in a public hearing before the House Oversight Committee.
However, Republicans swiftly rejected this proposal.
In a letter addressed to committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) on Tuesday, Biden's attorneys quoted Comer's own previous demand from November.
They highlighted that given Biden's willingness to address the investigation publicly thus far, it is only reasonable to expect him to be willing to testify before Congress.
