Labour: More needs to be done to tackle people smugglers

Labour's Anneliese Dodds said more needs to be done to tackle people smuggling gangs after one person died attempting to cross the Channel overnight.

"Those criminal people smugglers who are making money out of these crossings across the channel must be tackled.

Labour has said that rather than big gimmicks like the Rwanda scheme, we need to have a proper plan to get a grip on this," Ms Dodds added.
