The sun recently had a huge burst of energy, known as a solar flare, which is the strongest one since 2017.

This burst happened in an area on the sun called Sunspot 3514, and NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory caught it.

This event is the most powerful flare in the current cycle of solar activity, called Solar Cycle 25.

Scientists are now watching out for any changes in space weather.
