On Friday evening, French President Emmanuel Macron visited the Dargah Nizamuddin Aulia and immersed himself in a Qawwali session within the mausoleum's courtyard, according to officials.

Macron took part in prayers at the Dargah and also presented a 'chaddar' at the mausoleum during his two-day visit to India.

Earlier, he had served as the chief guest at New Delhi's Kartavya Path during the 75th Republic Day celebrations.

Arriving at the nearly 700-year-old shrine at 9:45 pm local time, Macron spent over half an hour at the revered location.

‘Death to Xi’: Massive Anti-China Protests In France Ruin Xi’s Meet With Macron | Oneindia

As Chinese leader Xi Jinping touched down in France on Sunday (May 5) for a state visit, all eyes turned to Paris where President Emmanuel Macron aims to navigate delicate diplomatic waters. Macron is anticipated to leverage the visit to press Xi for a firmer stance against Russia amidst the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. However, even before Xi's arrival, the streets reverberated with the voices of Tibetan protesters, highlighting the contentious issue of China's occupation of Tibet. Since the annexation by the People's Republic of China in 1951 following the Battle of Chamdo, Tibet's sovereignty has been a persistent source of tension, underscored by China's assertion of control over the region from January 1, 1950. Against this backdrop, Macron's diplomatic balancing act takes center stage, emblematic of the intricate dance between global powers and human rights advocacy. #FranceProtests #AntiChina #XiJinping #MacronMeeting #TibetanProtest #XiVisit #FranceChinaRelations #PoliticalProtest #HumanRights #FreeTibet #Democracy #ProtestAction #GlobalActivism #Solidarity #FreedomOfExpression ~HT.178~PR.152~ED.194~GR.124~
