Greta Thunberg appears in court on public order charge

Greta Thunberg and four other climate protesters have appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on public order charges.

The group was greeted on arrival by environmental protesters demonstrating “in solidarity” with the defendants.

The 21-year-old Swede was arrested in October during a demonstration outside a London hotel where oil executives were meeting.

All five activists pled not guilty in November to breaching Section 14 of the Public Order Act 1986.
