Labour expresses concerns over 'readiness of British forces'
Labour's Chris Bryant said the party are concerned "about the readiness of the British armed forces." The Shadow Culture Minister said the government has "not had it's eye on the ball" and that armed forces do not have the equipment needed to participate in international conflict.

The policing minister has defended the government's decision to impose Inheritance Tax on farms worth over £1 million. Prime minister Sir Keir Starmer welcomed the President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto to 10 Downing Street on Thursday. Mr Subianto, who was inaugurated last month, met the prime minister earlier this week at the G20 leaders’ summit in Brazil.

Angela Rayner has paid tribute to former deputy prime minister John Prescott following his death aged 86 following a battle with Alzheimer's.
