Famous food chains like KFC, Pizza Hut and Domino will serve only vegetarian food items from their respective menu in Ayodhya.
The initiative was taken after the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple to cater for the demands of the pure vegetarian devotees who crave western food.
Ayodhya has been witnessing a surge in visitors since the consecration of the Ram Temple.
Both tourists and locals eagerly want to catch a glimpse of Lord Ram.

Gandhi was addressing party workers days after the Congress and BJP clashed outside the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) office when saffron party workers went there to protest against his (Gandhi's) remarks on Hindus.

The Monsoon has created havoc across India, with Mumbai recording extremely heavy rainfall, the water level of the Saryu river rising in Ayodhya, an orange alert issued for Karnataka, and Assam grappling with floods again. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for several states, including Karnataka, Goa, Arunachal Pradesh and Maharashtra.
