In a tragic turn of events, Abhishek Ghosalkar, son of a prominent Shiv Sena (UBT) leader, was shot dead during a Facebook live session earlier today.
The assailant, identified as Mauris Noronha, then turned the gun on himself.
Known as 'Mauris bhai' in Borivali, Noronha portrayed himself on social media as an award-winning social worker, a Covid warrior, and a philanthropist.
He had gained popularity for organizing community events, including a planned trip to the Infant Jesus shrine in Nashik for local residents, scheduled for February 10.
