U.S: Rare case of Bubonic plague, that killed 50 million in 14th Century, detected | Oneindia News

Health officials in Oregon, USA, have confirmed a case of bubonic plague in a local resident, believed to have been transmitted by a pet cat.

Dr. Richard Fawcett, the health officer for Deschutes County, announced last week that all individuals in close contact with the infected person and the cat have been identified and provided with appropriate medication.
