Chancellor: Budget will be 'prudent and responsible'

Jeremy Hunt said this week's Spring budget will be "prudent and responsible." It comes three days before he’ll appear in the House of Commons to deliver his annual Budget statement to MPs which outlines the government's plans for raising or lowering taxes and sets out its spending commitments.

Mr Hunt said lowering taxes remains a priority and the two percentage point cut in National Insurance in last year's autumn statement was a "turning point." Report by Kennedyl.
