Lebanon Missile Attack: Indian national, Patnibin Maxwell, killed | Israel shocked | Oneindia
On Monday, tragedy struck near Israel's northern border community of Margaliot as an anti-tank missile from Lebanon hit an orchard, resulting in the death of one Indian national and injuring two others.
All three victims were from the southern state of Kerala.
The deceased, identified as Patnibin Maxwell from Kollam, had his remains identified at Ziv Hospital.
Maxwell, who had only been in Israel for two months, was employed on a farm when the attack occurred.
He leaves behind a five-year-old daughter and his pregnant wife.
The injured individuals, Bush Joseph George and Paul Melvin, also hail from Kerala.
Three Israeli soldiers died in a Hamas rocket attack near Rafah, Gaza, while Israeli airstrikes resulted in civilian casualties. The attack targeted the Kerem Shalom crossing, prompting its closure. Amid escalating tensions, Israel vowed to enter southern Gaza, raising concerns about humanitarian efforts. Efforts for a ceasefire in Cairo faltered as casualties continued to mount, deepening the conflict's toll on both sides.
