The Texas A&M Forest Service has confirmed that the unprecedented wildfires in Texas, including the destructive Smokehouse Creek fire, were ignited by power lines.
State investigators, as cited by spokespeople from the Forest Service, have attributed the blaze's origin to these power lines.
Since its eruption on February 26 of this year, the Smokehouse Creek Fire has wrought havoc across the northeastern Texas panhandle and parts of western Oklahoma.
