With almost all the votes counted, the centre-right DA party and centre-left SP party are almost equal whilst the far-right Chega party gain third place.
Portugalâs far-right Chega party made historic gains in the countryâs national elections held in early March. Taking 18% of the vote, the party sought to seduce Portugalâs youth, in a year which marks 50 years since Portugal overthrew its dictatorship.
